The Four Seasons of Aurora Gardens This is our most special place in the world. Air so fresh only the fragrance of evergreens signals the senses. First spring light reveals a blanket of mist over lake and meadow. Water thundering in the spillway, the call of morning birds, a doe and her fawn crossing the dam - all insist the world is alive. On summer afternoons children romp in clear Lake Mariah. Grandma and Grandpa nap in the shade of a tree, dreaming of the wonders of youth. Later, a night bird calling his mate fills the evening hush. Fall brings skies so blue you squint your eyes just to look. Woodland trails present a colorful forest flavored by the magic brushes of a thousand elves. Refreshing winter winds dash countless snow flakes against a sleeping park. We gather by the hearth, a blazing fire warms the heart and renews the soul. Once this special place touches you, the wind never blows cold again. ~R. William Reinke ~ |
